HomerunPet Self-Cleaning Smart Cat Litter Box - 106L

It’s an amazing smart cat litter box and I would say it’s a game changer. It’s so big inside and perfectly fit my largeeee fur babe. With the mobile app and auto fill cat litter, everything becomes so easy! It’s also very easy to setup, quiet when operating, and super safe. My cat loves poo there XD

LOVE THEM & WORTH THE MONEY! I have 9 cats (I know that’s a lot haha) with two litter boxes… and walking in my house you’d have no idea…. Zero litter box smell that friends and family also confirmed (well when you open the drawer to change bags you smell it but that’s expected and short lived… I use fabulous scented garbage bags vs the HomerunPET… their bags are ok but I like those more). I switched from two Whisker Robot 4s to two HomerunPETs and LOVE them. I initially loved Whisker and the extra hopper litter refill feature I added on when it became available… but started to have many issues with Whisker that kept on coming… smelled bad (regardless of cleaning), deep cleaning was a painful process, clumped litter on bottom from urine and attached to inside walls, urine leaked under the box and got into an area that couldn’t get cleaned properly and LOTs of constant errors. Eventually I threw them away. These new boxes are superior! I have had them several months now but haven’t come across any early issues like the other ones had. I will say Whisker does have a better app, but that is least important to me. Whisker app tells you the % of fullness for the litter waste box and % of litter left in the refill hopper. HomerunPET app just says it’s sufficient until it’s not. There are other better app features too, but those are most important ones to me. Other than the app (which is still fine) everything is better with HomerunPET. It’s aesthetically pleasing to look at, nice deep bathroom area where the clean litter is, larger waste bin, minimal to nothing that gets attached to the unit while spinning (I use the 30 minute interval to cycle), sooooooo much easier to deep clean, fits my 19 pound cat with no problems (whisker worked too on size), the liner is a thicker canvas like material (vs plastic type on whisker that cat nails poke holes in and cause leaking urine). I like how the waste bin is to the side vs underneath… it’s hard to explain but the layout overall is easier now, the sensors are in a better place and I don’t fear damaging them like I did with Whisker. I’d spend way too much time deep cleaning the Whisker boxes where these are simple and they dry faster. I also purchased the optional step that collects litter as they hop out of the box. It does a pretty darn good job (some litter makes its way down but very happy with results and worth it too). I do think in addition to the Whisker app being easier to tell you when the bin is full it’s also easier to know by looking at the machine (I liked the color coded bar system on Whisker). I am getting use to the HomerunPET view and it’s becoming easier to see / tell (just a smaller icon on screen vs color bar). There is nothing wrong with the new ones, I’m just use to the old box lights and like it that way more. Oh no light inside on the new litter boxes, but I don’t care about that at all. All together I am thrilled I switched and it’s worth the money. I had a need for customer service support and that was great too. I was not given money / promotion of any kind for this review and decided to write it bc there are not too many videos yet on YouTube (but there are some good ones that seem legitimate) and the machines are fabulous so far! Having a litter robot is going to be a better experience then a scoop box… if on the fence go for it! If this is too costly, I still say go for a cheaper robot within your budget.

Well I followed the unboxing procedure and got it into the house. Then I followed the preparation procedure to get it ready for use. Then I tapped some buttons, added cat litter and was off to the races. I did see my 20lb cat climb in and use the box. He seemed pleased. I am pleased as well. So far so good!

This self-cleaning CS106 is super quiet! I’ve had other self-cleaning litter boxes but this one is far superior. It not only scoops itself but also refills with fresh litter as needed! Only thing I wish was offered by this company (and is not) is a splash guard made especially for this unit. I have 8 cats and everyone “goes” like they should except for one kitty who urinates just outside the dome globe and the urine runs down the outside of the globe and finds its way into the pull-out tray underneath the CS106 and the urine pools up in the litter step sitting in front of the unit. It’s messy to clean up which defeats the purpose of having an expensive piece of equipment that is supposed to allow me to be “less hands-on”. PLEASE MAKE A SPLASH GUARD FOR THE ROBOT BOX! Otherwise, this box is WONDERFUL!

My order arrived with no problems. I placed the C106 litter box next to my cat’s old litter box. For four days, my cat did not use the C106, which I believe was expected.

On the fifth day, I removed the old litter box for good. Later that night, my cat stood in front of the new litter box. I gently placed her inside, and she took care of her business. After that, she started using it regularly.

The C106 litter box is large and versatile. It does exactly what it is supposed to do, and it self-cleans flawlessly. I even witnessed it refilling automatically when the litter level dropped below the maximum level.

Removing the waste is a breeze. The app is also very good—it notifies me right after my cat uses the litter box and again after it self-cleans.

I spent days researching and reading about several self-cleaning litter boxes. I narrowed my search down to two options, with Homerunpet being one of them.

The tiebreaker for me was the automatic refill feature.

This is a good product, and I highly recommend it. I am not being paid to share my opinion, unlike some YouTubers. I’m just a cat dad being honest and transparent about my purchase.
